It's that time again. Summer Sampler from Tooth and Nail. Yeap, so everything from Kutless to Manafest, from Capital Lights to Family Force 5. Need all that free music to tide you over as you get ready for fall?
Hey what are you up to this Thursday? How about next Thursday? It's just two more weeks for the summer reading series at Sam's Place. This week they will be reading (out loud, don't worry you don't have to go there and sit in silence and read) The Lord of the Rings. Be aware that it's some snippets they will read... the whole thing might take a little longer. Either way, as you enjoy the sights and sounds of a professionally read masterpiece, for $5 you can enjoy Lembas Bread (yes one bite will fill a man's stomach for a week).
Next week it will be Game of Thrones, read by yours truly (Kyle Rudge). I promise to practice any accents before I do the reading. Come on out and join in on the literary fun.
Thursdays, 7pm.
This morning we had the coordinator of all this, mister Justin Koop. A Winnipegger who likes birds on things, has thick rimmed hipster style glasses, and probably owns a mac (we won't hold it against him).
Good or Bad Bedhead?
When I came in this morning, the CHVN Morning Show host Christy Fabbri came over and said I looked like "Flock of Seagulls". I think it's more like Wolverine. What do you guys think?
Josh Guenther - Rescue
So the story goes earlier this week we got a facebook message from a very proud mom of her son singing a song he wrote at Red Rock Bible Camp. He was there for teen week (along with Fresh IE, Sean Quiggley, and Matt Klippenstein - youth pastor of Ness Ave Baptist church).
To say that we were blown away by Josh's performance is an understatement. We had to bring him in and have him perform for everyone. Awesome stuff from a Gr 10 student at Linden Christian School. Check out his performance here live on the air... also feel free to download it and share it with your friends!
