August Burns Red RECAP!

Wow....what else can be said about one killer show!  I, The Breather, Texas In July as openers....simply fantastic!  I won't lie, I'd seen Texas in July a few times prior so I was in the lobby just listening to their set so I could save my sensitive ears for the blast beats from Pennsylvania's finest.  After hearing the reaction from many kids in the crowd about Texas in July's drummer Adam Gray I'm regretting not taking in their set.  For all you drummers out there, check out Adam Gray on youtube.  His skills are unreal!

Before the show we once again had the chance to meet up with ABR and present Mike (The winner of our August Burns Shred contest) with his SICK Ibanez guitar from Quest Musique.  We also didn't tell Mike until minutes before the meet and greet that we were planning on showing the boys of ABR Mike's entry from the contest.  We had a chance to film it alll...enjoy.

Here's a few pics from the meet and greet and ABR on stage:

Come join the Bark Side

So it's the week leading up to Super Bowl and the hype is all about the-bark-side.jpgthe commercials and the food at the Super Bowl party you'll be attending. Does anybody really care about the game between the Giants and Patriots? Anyways, last year for many the most suprisingly awesome commerical was Volkwagen jedi commercial. Well it seems as if Volkwagen is following suit this year with another Star Wars themed spot. If you haven't seen it, here it is. The best part is the little dog who's dressed up like Chewbacca...

Here's the one that'll air during the Super Bowl:

The Whosoevers

Fans of P.O.D or Brian 'Head' Welch have heard of The Whosoevers but to many they're just a logo....who exactly are the Whosoevers? Well they're a group of 5 individuals who have powerful stories to share. The Whosoevers are made up of Sonny Sandoval of POD, Lacey Strum of Flyleaf, Brian 'Head' Welch, Ryan Ries of Exit Concerts, and Ronnie Faisst of Metal Mulisha.

They get their name from John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Here's a quick mini documentary that they made.....

Also, this past Sunday they spoke at a church in Franklin TN called Conduit Church. Lead by Darren Tyler this is a sweet church that I got introduced to while living in Nashville. Here's the message that The Whosoevers shared on sunday.

Is God Real?

The question that so many people wrestle with. Well Enoch Magazine had a chance to chat with Oh, Sleeper's frontman Micah Kinard was asked just that. Here's his response:
