"Burning ones, arise! Come forth! Take your flame, ignite the world.
We are the only hope for a hopeless world to see the face of the living God. Take your flame, ignite the world."
- Seraphim by For Today.
So the past few days I've been listening to For Today quiet a bit. Songs like Devastator, Seraphim, Talmidin have been just speaking to me in an incredible way. (Surely I'm not the only one who's pumped for the release of Immortal on May 29) We at Ignite have one common goal, to encourage people to make a difference in the world and to encourage those who already do so to continue to do so. The words of Seraphim speak to just that, followers of Christ, arise, and be the change the world is looking for and needing.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" - Isaiah 6:8
So where does this lead me? Well my wife and I have decided to take the words from Isaiah and to do just that. To take our flame, and to go Ignite the world. We will be heading down to Mexico City from June till the middle of August and will be sharing the good news and love of Christ with the people in the 3rd largest city in the world. Growing up in the small towns and moving to the big city, and I mean BIG city will be quiet the adventure for us but when you have the hope that the world needs isn't each day an adventure? (not to mention we don't speak spanish very well....I mean come on, I have trouble speaking english most days)
During our time down in Mexico City our main focus will be helping lead Vacational Bible School, working with youth ministry, and community outreach (who knows, maybe even sharing great music with them as well). To say we are pumped would be an understatment. I also can't wait to share our expierences with all those in the Ignite community!
