MS Adventure Challenge!

Hey everyone! This morning started off in a very exciting fashion! I got to head down to Adrenaline Adventures for the FIRST EVER MS Adventure Challenge! All the registration fees went towards the MS Society and they had about 20 teams of 4 sign up! Plus people who didn't register ahead of time there were over EIGHTY participants!

I will try to give you the run-down of what this race was all about, but you really had to be there to believe it! The teams started by doing a lap around the smaller lake at Adrenaline Adventures and at one end of the lake I believe they had to tackle dummies?! It was too far away for me to see! Then the teams raced around the bigger lake, through a slolam of pylons and up a ropes course! And that's not even halfway through! They next had to come down to the beach where they ran through tires in a MUD course! Next they had to run up a hill with a slip n' slide waiting for them on the other side! The final challenge was to crawl through tubes and cross the finish line! I got to talk with a few of the teams before they started this daunting obstacle course!

The first team I talked to was a team made up of our listeners! So exciting! They were enthusiastic and they kept up their team spirit right until the end, crossing the finish line hand-in-hand! Although one part of the obstacle course where they didn't need their solid team bond was at the tire flip station, Ben did it all by himself! The second team I got to speak with was (and I might get it wrong) Coco and the Wonder Twins! They showed off their team spirit by all dressing in red! Unfortunately out of the four teams I connected with they came last, but they had FUN and that's all that matters!

I also talked with team "Good Effort" who were out there today to just try their best! And they made it through the whole course! Team "3 Crackers and a Tortilla" were also out supporting the MS Society today! I personally awarded their team best uniforms, since they were all matching perfectly! (Which for some reason included drawn-on mustaches..)

The morning was a ton of fun and it was done for a great cause! All the teams did AMAZING, (I'm not sure if I would have been able to complete the course!) and were rewarded with a refreshing dunk in the lake!
